Right now, we're joining the New Georgia Project, the Georgia Conference of the NAACP, along with community groups, faith leaders and civil rights leaders in demanding that Secretary Kemp process the 51,423 voter forms that have been languishing in the office for months, some prior to the May 20th primary. [*UPDATE: Secretary Kemp has accounted for roughly 9,000 voters, but over 42,000 voter forms have yet to be accounted for.]
Early voting has begun. Stand with Georgians and sign your support.
Demand that Secretary Kemp do his job:
The actions of Secretary Kemp have placed a dark cloud over the very act that is a key element of his job – registering Georgians to vote. It is unfair and threatens our democracy.
We are lending our support to the New Georgia Project and other coalition members, demanding Secretary Kemp answer to:
- Complaints and investigations by the Secretary of State since 2010 (open records request)
- The Secretary of State’s matching and processing system (open records request)
- Timely status on processing of voter registration forms
