How to make money with Acorns app (step by step)

make money on Acorns app

How to make money with Acorns app? Acorns is a financial and investment platform that allows users to invest spare change, round up purchases, or employ a micro-investing strategy. Acorns’ operation is supported by monthly subscription fees from platform users. Various features and goods are available depending on the plan you select. These subscription fees may appear big at first as a percentage of your account balance, but they will quickly become insignificant in comparison to your overall investment account and bank balance on the site. What is it?

Acorns is a FinTech firm that provides a variety of financial goods and services, with a focus on investing, spending, and saving. Its Invest feature is a micro-investing account that lets users put their spare change to good use. Acorns connects to a user’s credit card or bank account immediately. If they buy a $3.50 coffee, for example, Acorns will automatically ask if they want to put a percentage of that money (in this case $0.50) into their portfolio.

With just a few clicks, anyone may construct an investing portfolio. Acorns then invests the money in a combination of Exchange Traded Funds, depending on the user’s investment style (conservative to aggressive) (ETFs). When an individual’s change pool reaches $5, the firm will begin investing for them. For your financial needs, Acorns provides two different subscription options.

  • Acorns Personal- $3/month

Your personal financial health system, complete with all-in-one investment, retirement, and checking accounts, as well as a metal debit card, financial guidance, and more!

  • Acorns Family- $5/month

Per family, there are investment accounts for an endless number of children! Also included are personal investment, retirement, and checking accounts, as well as bonus investments, financial guidance, and more!

Can you monetize Acorns app?

Though I like the app, the truth is that you aren’t going to make a lot of money here. Investing your spare change is better than nothing, but it will not improve your financial condition. With only a few dollars in the market, any stock market gains you achieve will be minor.

The truth is that making money is not the same as investing. That is why I decided to establish an online business. Now that I have a lot more money, I can put it all into the market and completely benefit from broader market increases, plus dividend stocks provide passive income.

How much money can you make with Acorns app?

Obviously, two factors are involved. To begin with, it is determined by the amount of money you wish to invest. Your accounts will increase more quickly if you invest more money. However, don’t expect it to expand too quickly! Investing is something that should be done over a period of time. The frequency with which you receive cash back when you use their checking account and debit card is another consideration. This can help you get more value from your app usage, but it isn’t always quick. If you so desire…

  • Spend less.
  • Invest
  • Create a retirement savings account.
  • Get paid in cash and put it back into your assets.

Then this is a fantastic app and service that will allow you to accomplish it for a low cost, with a small investment, and on a regular basis. However, if what you really desire is…

  • Make some additional cash that you may use straight away
  • Create a side hustle that can help you pay your bills on a monthly basis.
  • Create a side business that will eventually become prosperous.

Then this is probably not something you want to get involved with.

Steps use Acorns app to  make money

Whether on the desktop or through the app, Acorns has always been simple to use. However, the firm is always updating the app, sometimes dramatically. The app is now divided into five sections based on five important concepts:

1. Invest for the future

When you initially open the app and log in, you’ll see a short snapshot of your account that shows you exactly how much money you’ve put into Acorns. This amount includes the money in both your Acorns Core and Acorns Later portfolios (if you have one).

The snapshot will then transition to the app’s main screen (below), where you can explore your account in further depth.

When you click “Invest,” you’ll be sent to a screen that summarizes both your Acorns Core investment account and allows you to examine and modify other options, such as:

  • Your portfolio setting
  • Whether or not you’ve activated round-ups
  • Whether or not you’ve set a recurring investment
  • Your portfolio’s performance
  • Recent activity

2. Later starts today

When you click “Later,” you’ll be sent to a screen that summarizes both your Acorns Later account and your Invest account. It contains much of the same information as the Invest screen:

  • Your portfolio setting
  • Whether or not you’ve set a recurring investment
  • Whether or not you’ve designated a beneficiary
  • Your account’s history
  • Your portfolio’s performance

3. Spend smarter

If you click “Spend,” you’ll be taken to a screen where you can sign up for the service (if you haven’t already). After you’ve signed up, you’ll be able to access the following sections of the app:

  • Whether or not you’ve activated round-ups
  • Whether or not you’ve set up a recurring deposit into your Spend account
  • Whether or not you’ve locked your card
  • How to set up a direct deposit
  • Recent spending activity

4. Early for kids

If you click “Early,” you’ll be taken to a screen where you can sign up for the service (if you haven’t already). After you’ve signed up, you’ll be able to access the following sections of the app:

  • Your portfolio choice
  • Your portfolio performance
  • Whether or not you’ve set up a recurring investment

5. Earn more money

When you click “Earn,” you’ll be taken to the Found Money site, where you can look at cash-back promotions and see how much money you’ve saved by buying with Acorns’ Found Money partners. (Learn more about Found Money in the sections below.) You can also click “Earn from a new job” from this screen to access a job discovery portal that was introduced in 2020.

Best tips to earn money on Acorns

  • Invest your spare change.

Once you’ve linked your debit or credit card to Acorns, you can opt-in for Round-Up investing. This allows you to automatically invest your spare change from everyday purchases. When you shop with an Acorn-linked card, your purchases will be rounded up to the next dollar. The difference will then be invested in your account. If you spent $26.35 on groceries, for example, Acorns will round it up to $27. It will then immediately invest the $0.65 change in your account. According to Acorns, you may expect an average return of 7.5 percent on your holdings.

Shopping With The Acorns Card
  • Acorns Found Money

You’ll collect cashback when you use your Acorns-connected debit or credit card at any of Acorns’ partnered businesses. Acorns’ partners include Walmart, Sephora, Nike, Airbnb, and other major merchants. When you shop at one of the partnering stores, a portion of your purchase will be donated to your Acorns account.

  • Shopping With The Acorns Card

You may get a 10% bonus on your investments when you use the Acorns tungsten metal debit card.

Parting remark

Acorns can, in fact, produce you money, albeit slowly. Be consistent with repeated deposits and optimize your purchases to expedite the process. Acorns will automatically invest your money in ETFs, equities, bonds, and real estate for novice investors. If you wouldn’t invest on your own, the software will undoubtedly assist you. Just keep in mind that every investing site is prone to market losses and that costs ($3 – $5 per month, depending on your plan) will eat up small balances.
